An Effort To "Go Green"

Over the past couple of years, I have been releasing my newest dulcimer books in a unique way - as Books on CD. These "paperless books" make it easy for the customer to print their own copy of the tab from the CD by simply inserting the disc into their computer and selecting the PDF file that they want to print.

Books on CD have several advantages over traditional paper books  -  Choose only the tabs you want to play  -  Compile them in any order you wish  -  If you lose or damage your paper copy, simply print another copy from the CD  -  In addition, the disc acts as a traditional audio CD, which means that you can insert it into any CD player and listen to demo versions of each song included in the collection.

The Books on CD idea is a clever way to deliver the same high quality tab arrangements that are found in my older books, give the customer more options and avoid the mountains of paper inventory associated with traditional printed books.

A complete list of titles that are available on CD can be found on my web site at www.LarryConger.com by clicking on the MUSIC STORE tab above and then clicking on BOOKS ON CD.

Hey Larry-that's cool about the Franklin workshop! Unfortunately, I won't be here the whole month of Feb. Fortunately, Melissa and I will be on St. George Island near Appalachicola-we rented a house on the beach for the month.

Can you just mail me the workshop material?

Thanks to Elaine's interest in the base dulcimer and the chance given to me during the jam session to play ,I am in search of one for myself.

Working hard on the "Dream" song, got most of it.  When you see Mike Clemmer, ask him about his Magic medical cure for all problems.  He got me drinking raw apple cider vinegar three times a day, said something about helping me improve my dulcimer playing!!!!!  He believes in the stuff, other that growing two extra toes I have not seen any changes.  Ron

I have a main blog for Traditional style mountain dulcimer playing here: Mountain Dulcimer Noter-drone Blog This is an old style of playing where you only fret your notes on the melody string, while letting the drones strings ring open. In my blog, I express my personal views about playing, I offer free TAB and free beginner videos, and I try to help beginners understand in a very basic simple way the 'mysteries' of playing the mountain dulcimer in traditional modal noter/drone style.
