New Dulcimer Arrangement at TheDulcimerHymnal.com!

Hello everyone,           I hope you are all enjoying your week. Easter is coming very soon (this coming Sunday) and I wanted to make sure I put a new arrangement on thedulcimerhymnal.com before hand for you all. This week's arrangement is called "Have Faith in God". It's a simple song (melodically) with an even simpler message; "Have faith in God". We get caught up in the worries of this world, at work, home, etc. But, it’s sometimes hard to fathom that we can never work for our salvation or…See More

Hi, Ben. Can't wait for your hymnals to arrive! I'm looking for tab for Christmas songs to tide me over until your collection is ready. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Hi, Ben. I've printed out a lot of your free hymn arrangements from your site. You offer so many free that I wonder if I would be getting duplicates when buying your hymnals!  I've only been playing a little over a year and started out with what I call 'jigs' after attending a couple jam sessions. I ordered some books from Maureen Sellers to begin learning to play, and then a few books from Helen Johnson. By then, I knew that I was much happier playing chords, especially hymns and Christmas carols. Your playing touches my heart. Let me know, please, whether your hymnals include duplicates of the free print-outs. Also, do you offer a book of Christmas carols? That would be fantastic to own!

Thanks! God bless you, Ben.

Ben, not your site, the tabs on ED has them in both DAD and DAA and I can never find the DAA tab. I play DAA all the time and was wondering if there was something I was doing wrong or maybe you have a block checked  that you shouldn't have. If I'm wrong, sorry to have bothered you.

Hey Ben,

Just curious. When I look at your tabs, it says that they're in both DAD and DAA but I can never find the ones in DAA. Is it just me or are they really not there?

Hi Benjamin, I'm pretty new at playing the mountain dulcimer, my first attempt at an instrument, but am having a blast learning. I must tell you that your videos on your website and YouTube are helping me learn tremendously. Just wondering, do you have a tablature or video for "Sweet Hour of Prayer". I can play it as a noter and drone piece but would like to learn it by chording. Thank you so much for your website and making sheet music available to even us beginners. God Bless you!

Hey Benjamin, I have really enjoyed your youtube videos.  Have you ever thought about doing  a tab arrangement  for  On Jordan's Stormy Banks?

I have a main blog for Traditional style mountain dulcimer playing here: Mountain Dulcimer Noter-drone Blog This is an old style of playing where you only fret your notes on the melody string, while letting the drones strings ring open. In my blog, I express my personal views about playing, I offer free TAB and free beginner videos, and I try to help beginners understand in a very basic simple way the 'mysteries' of playing the mountain dulcimer in traditional modal noter/drone style.
