How long does it usually take to get approved as a member? It has been almost three weeks and still nothing. I did drop Bruce note after a week and he said he has to personally approve each applicant, which of course I understand.
I am sure he is very busy and I don't want to bother him again.

I would send him another note, Barbara.

I didn't think it was right either. I tried registering again after 2 weeks but the program said I was in the system.
I guess I will send one more email to him later today.
Thank you Strumelia and Dan.

I found that I needed to -re-boot-, everything dulicmer, each time I made changes to my side of it...wonder if that will help?

Barbara, don't give up on ED.  Bruce, these days, is CEO and Development Officer of a small R&D company developing scientific robotic submersibles and may literally be "at sea".  When he was in the Navy it wasn't such a big deal as naval ships keep pretty good touch with shore electronically these days.

Ok Ken. Thanks.

I have a main blog for Traditional style mountain dulcimer playing here: Mountain Dulcimer Noter-drone Blog This is an old style of playing where you only fret your notes on the melody string, while letting the drones strings ring open. In my blog, I express my personal views about playing, I offer free TAB and free beginner videos, and I try to help beginners understand in a very basic simple way the 'mysteries' of playing the mountain dulcimer in traditional modal noter/drone style.
